Every Italian accommodation provider reports its guests to the police through the Alloggiati service. The receipt of each submission is your proof.

Article 19-bis of Decree-Law 113 of 4 October 2018 (converted by Law 132 of 1 December 2018) clarifies the obligations under article 109 TULPS on registering guests and notifying the local police. Receipts must be kept for at least 5 years.

Downloading them by hand every day is easy to forget. Losing them means you cannot prove your submissions during an inspection.
